Dan James believes Leeds United showed a much-improved level after the break as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Brentford at Elland Road.
The Whites were second best during the opening period and went into half-time behind. Daniel Farke responded from the bench, with James and Lukas Nmecha both introduced and playing a key role in the eventual equaliser.
Nmecha supplied the ball for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who finished from close range to bring Leeds United level.

Dan James admitted Brentford had the stronger first half, but felt Leeds finally produced the performance they wanted after the restart.
“I think in the first half they were definitely the better team, I think we were a yard off there,” the winger said.
“But we came out second half and showed what we should have from the start, really. We were on top, obviously got the goal quite late.”
Dan James was also quick to praise Nmecha for spotting the chance and Calvert-Lewin for being in the right position.
“I think Lukas [Nmecha] has read the situation well and he’s pulled it back to Dom [Calvert-Lewin] and, you know, Dom is always in that position to score, you’ve just got to put it in there!”
The winger believes Leeds United could have gone on to win after the equaliser, but remains positive about the team’s current mood.
“The team is in a great place. We had a full squad out today, I think. I’m feeling really good, feeling good personally. I just want to give everything to this team when I do get my chance.”
